Regional screening is useful because it compresses a great deal of geological context into a smaller decision surface. The risk is that compression can make an attractive signal look more certain than it is.
A strong workflow keeps the regional frame attached to every target. Structural interpretation, source quality, rights context and contradictory evidence remain part of the object that moves forward.
Keep the comparison visible
A target becomes more useful when a reviewer can see why it rose above its neighbors. That means preserving the comparison set, recording which signals influenced the ranking and showing where the evidence remains thin.
The purpose is not to remove judgment. It is to give judgment a traceable surface: one that a geologist can challenge, refine and approve before field activity is prioritized.
